Wall Street Experts Highlight Three Stocks for Long-Term Investment

Investors face ongoing challenges from stock market volatility influenced by high oil prices, geopolitical strains, Federal Reserve rate hikes, and debates on AI safety. Despite these uncertainties, focusing on stocks with solid long-term potential remains importante.

Oracle, a key player in enterprise software and cloud infrastructure, recently reported fiscal 2027 Q1 results surpassing expectations, driven by robust cloud infrastructure revenue. Following investor meetings led by Oracle’s head of investor relations, Ken Bond, Guggenheim analyst John DiFucci reaffirmed a buy rating with a $400 price target, identifying Oracle as one of the firm’s Best Ideas.

DiFucci emphasized Oracle’s position as a “decade stock,” underpinned by opportunities in AI training and inferencing alongside its traditional Public Cloud business. He highlighted the company’s AI-enabled cloud database and applications as factors likely to boost revenue and profits in the coming years.

While Oracle delivered 850 MW of data center capacity in Q1, Bond noted that Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) revenue varies with the timing of capacity activation rather than capacity alone. DiFucci anticipates strong IaaS growth, projecting full-year gains to exceed the 120% constant currency rate observed in Q1.

Management expects revenue growth to accelerate during fiscal 2027 as the infrastructure business gains a larger revenue share. Addressing customer concentration concerns, DiFucci reported OpenAI’s proportion of remaining performance obligations has dropped from 80% last June to about 50%, with further declines expected as Oracle secures new contracts.

Rocket Lab, a provider of space systems and launch services, received a buy initiation from Raymond James analyst Brian Gesuale, who set an $80 price target. Gesuale praised Rocket Lab’s integration of launch capabilities, spacecraft, components, payloads, and optical communications, citing the upcoming Neutron and Iridium projects as key to expanding medium-lift capacity and applications in 2027.

The recent completion of the Iridium acquisition positions Rocket Lab as the only fully vertically integrated space company with positive free cash flow. This acquisition adds a constellation valued over $3 billion, coordinated L-band spectrum, and approximately $500 million in EBITDA with $300 million in free cash flow.

Gesuale noted the company’s strong revenue and backlog growth, estimating a revenue increase of 59% in 2026. Rocket Lab’s backlog has nearly doubled, reaching $2.4 billion from $1.1 billion in Q3 2025. The analyst expects gross margins to improve from around 35% in 2027 to approximately 47% by 2030, alongside a decline in R&D spending from about 35% of sales in 2026 to 10% in 2028. This shift should allow substantial operating leverage as Rocket Lab matures.

Meta Platforms was upgraded to buy from hold by J.P. Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth, who raised the price target from $640 to $820. Despite underperformance earlier in the year, Meta shows potential linked to its frontier AI models and new AI-powered products beyond advertising, including the Muse AI agent and Meta Model API access.

Anmuth described these frontier models as central to Meta’s multi-year product and monetization pipeline and its progression toward superintelligence. The Meta Superintelligence Labs team, reassembled in summer 2025, has advanced quickly from Muse Spark 1.1 in July to the competitive Muse Spark 1.3 model.

Meta’s Watermelon product is expected to expand business intelligence, consumer product opportunities, and engagement within its Family of Apps. This initiative aims to boost operational efficiency internally. Anmuth highlighted Meta’s vast user base of 4 billion as a strong distribution advantage for its AI offerings.

Alongside AI product development, Meta’s AI infrastructure capacity is seen as a solid foundation to support future computing demands.

Analyst rankings from TipRanks indicate that DiFucci ranks 263rd among more than 12,490 analysts, with 62% profitable ratings and an average return of 17.5%. Gesuale ranks 369th, with 63% profitable recommendations and a 17% average return. Anmuth ranks 832nd, with a 57% success rate and an average return near 9.4%.
